ADC’s industrial framing scope. Industrial framing is structural steel, heavy timber, and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) erection on warehouses, shops, and ag-support buildings, with long clear spans, large columns, and load paths an order of magnitude beyond a house. Two things decide whether it goes right: the anchor-bolt and embed layout cast into the foundation, and the temporary bracing during erection before the structure is self-supporting. We frame and erect to the stamped engineered drawings and the building manufacturer’s connection details, and we are direct that this is structural erection scope, not specialized rigging of heavy process equipment.

The work runs in order: verify the foundation, anchor bolts, and embeds are placed and surveyed to the engineered drawings before any steel arrives (a misplaced anchor pattern stops the job cold), erect columns and primary frames with proper temporary bracing, install secondary framing, purlins, and bracing to the connection schedule, then sign off the structural inspection before anything is sheathed or loaded. Nothing gets covered or loaded ahead of the inspector.

This is a high-seismic region, and industrial structures here carry a real engineered lateral system, braced frames or moment connections, that inspectors scrutinize. We build that load path as specified, not improvised. Central Valley sites also bring soil and foundation conditions that affect anchorage, which is exactly why the embed survey comes before steel. Because ADC holds a General B license, the foundation, anchorage, and erection are coordinated under one accountable contract instead of split across parties who blame each other when the column does not land.

On cost: an industrial framing quote is driven by the structural system, span, connection complexity, and the engineered seismic detailing, not tonnage alone. A standard PEMB to a clean foundation is one number; long spans, heavy moment frames, complex connections, and corrective work on an existing structure is another.
