Construction & Remodeling Built for the Foothills
Full-scope work for the western Calaveras communities inside our Lodi service radius.
ADC Construction works the western edge of Calaveras County: Valley Springs, Burson, Mokelumne Hill, and the Camanche Reservoir communities, out of our shop in Lodi. It is a straightforward thirty-to-forty-minute run up Highway 12 and 26, which keeps these foothill towns comfortably inside our service radius and lets us treat them like home turf instead of a once-a-month detour.
Building in the Calaveras foothills is not the same as building on the valley floor, and we plan for that. Many homes out here sit on oak-woodland parcels, on well and septic, with long driveways and grades that change how decks, foundations, and drainage have to be detailed. The housing stock skews older: ranch homes, cabins, and rural builds that have weathered decades of valley heat, foothill rain, and the occasional snow at elevation. Whole-home remodels, re-roofs, and structural repairs out here are about bringing solid bones up to a modern standard, not cosmetic flips.
Weather and fire exposure drive much of our exterior work in this county. We spec Class A roofing assemblies, tighten and harden eaves and vents, and build decks and patios that respect defensible-space thinking instead of fighting it. Roof replacement and repair get scheduled around the rainy season so a home is dried in before the weather turns, not after.
As a General B licensed contractor, ADC carries a project from framing and structural work through roofing, interior remodeling, drywall, and the plumbing and electrical that tie it together: one license, one accountable crew, one punch list. Owner Adam runs the company the way the Army taught him to run anything: show up, build it to standard, stand behind it. You will still be able to reach us after the final invoice is paid.
The lake communities around Camanche Reservoir are a big part of the work here, and they come with their own quirks. A lot of the homes started as weekend cabins and got lived in year-round, so the remodels are about turning a seasonal place into a real house: better insulation, a kitchen that works for daily use, an added bathroom, and a roof that will hold up now that nobody is around to shovel it. Access can be tight down near the water, and Adam plans the staging and the material haul around that instead of pretending the driveway is wider than it is.

Western Calaveras, Town By Town
Valley Springs is the growth center on this side of the county and the easiest run from Lodi. It has been adding homes, and that means the work here leans newer: additions, garage conversions, ADUs, decks, and full remodels on houses that are due for an update. It is also where a lot of the new-build interest comes from, since there are still parcels to work with and it is close enough that we can supervise a job tightly.
Camanche Village and Camanche North Shore are the lake communities around the reservoir. A lot of these homes started as weekend places and are now full-time residences, so the remodels are about making them livable year-round: insulation, real kitchens, added bathrooms, and roofs that will last. The lots near the water can be tight and sloped, so the plan has to account for access and drainage from the start.
Burson is ranch and rural country. Bigger parcels, well and septic, outbuildings, and older ranch homes that want structural repair, a re-roof, or a remodel that respects how the family actually uses the place. These are practical jobs for practical people, and the quote reflects that.
Mokelumne Hill is the historic town on this side of the county. It has Gold Rush-era buildings and a lot of character, so a remodel here means working with what is there and knowing which changes fit the town. Small community, real history, and it gets the same crew and the same standard as any bigger job on the map.

A Calaveras Job, Run to a Lodi Standard
Veteran-Owned Accountability
Owner Adam is a US Army veteran who came up in the trades before he ever ran a company. That background shows up as schedules that hold, a clean job site, and a contractor who finishes the punch list instead of disappearing once the deposit clears.
One General B, Full Scope
Structural, roofing, interior, and the trades that connect them all sit under one General B license. For a remote foothill property that means a single point of responsibility instead of juggling three subcontractors who each blame the other.
Local, Not a Drive-By Crew
Western Calaveras is core territory for us, not the far end of a statewide map. We know the haul from Lodi, the county building department, and what foothill weather does to a roof, so the bid is realistic and the timeline is honest.
Questions From Foothill Owners
Which Calaveras County towns does ADC Construction serve?
We regularly work Valley Springs, Burson, Mokelumne Hill, Camanche Village, and Camanche North Shore, the western Calaveras communities that fall inside our roughly thirty-mile service radius from Lodi. If your property is in or near those areas we can almost certainly get to you; if you are not sure, call (209) 200-5302 and we will tell you straight whether it is in range.
Do you handle Calaveras County building permits?
Yes. As a licensed General B contractor we pull and coordinate permits through the Calaveras County Building Department for the work that requires them: structural projects, re-roofs, additions, ADUs, and new construction. We build to current California code and schedule inspections so the project closes out clean.
Can you re-roof a foothill home before the rainy season?
That is exactly how we schedule roofing out here. We sequence tear-off and dry-in so the structure is protected before the weather turns, and we spec Class A roofing assemblies suited to the rain, sun, and temperature swings the foothills see through the year.
Do you build decks and additions on sloped or wooded lots?
Regularly. Foothill parcels rarely give you a flat pad, so we engineer footings and posts for the grade, detail drainage so water moves away from the structure, and lay out decks, patios, and additions to work with the terrain and the trees rather than against them.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. ADC Construction is a California General B licensed, US Army veteran-owned company carrying contractor’s insurance. Quotes are free and done on site, so the number reflects your actual property instead of a guess from a map.
How quickly can you come out for a quote in Calaveras County?
Western Calaveras is part of our core service area, so quote visits there usually happen within a few days of your call rather than weeks out. Call (209) 200-5302 or send the form below and we will set a time that works.
Can you turn my Camanche cabin into a year-round home?
Yes, that is one of the most common jobs we get out at the lake. A lot of the homes around Camanche Village and North Shore were built as weekend cabins, and making one work full-time usually means better insulation, a kitchen and bathrooms sized for daily use, updated systems, and a roof that will hold up without anyone around to maintain it. We plan the whole thing as one General B project and work around the tight access a lot of the lake lots have.
Do you build new homes in Valley Springs?
We do. Valley Springs is the growth side of western Calaveras and where a lot of our new-build and larger-addition interest comes from, since there are still parcels to work with and it is a short run from Lodi. As a General B contractor we handle the build from framing and foundation through roofing and finish, coordinate the county permit, and stay close enough to supervise the job tightly rather than checking in once a month.
