Inside ADC’s plumbing work. Most of our plumbing is project plumbing: the supply, drain, waste, and vent work behind a kitchen or bath remodel, an addition, an ADU, or new construction, plus the bigger-ticket items, repipes, water heater and tankless conversions, slab-leak and main-line work. The reason this belongs with a General B contractor is sequencing: plumbing rough-in has to be right and inspected before walls close, and when it is run by the same crew that frames and finishes, the dishwasher line, the pot filler, and the relocated drain all actually land where the design says, not where a separate sub guessed.

The work runs in order: lay out fixtures to the design, rough in supply and DWV to code with proper venting and slope, pressure-test and pass the rough inspection before anything is covered, then set fixtures and finish, and verify at trim-out. Drain slope and venting are the parts a cheap job gets wrong and you only discover later as a slow drain or a sewer-gas smell; we get them right at rough-in because they cannot be fixed easily once the wall is closed.

Central Valley water is hard, and that drives real decisions: hard water shortens tank water-heater life and scales tankless units, so we size and recommend with that in mind and discuss treatment where it pays off. Older Lodi and Stockton homes still have galvanized supply lines that are rusting closed and original cast-iron drains near end of life; on a remodel we tell you honestly when a targeted repair makes sense versus when a partial repipe will save you from opening the same wall again next year.

On cost: a plumbing quote is driven by access, the condition of existing lines, and how much is being relocated, not fixture count alone.
