Construction & Remodeling in San Joaquin County

San Joaquin County is not a service area for ADC Construction. It is home. Our shop is in Lodi, and Stockton, Tracy, Ripon, and Lockeford are all a short drive from the door. That proximity is the entire point: quicker quote visits, a faster response when something goes wrong, and a crew that already knows these neighborhoods, the local building departments, and the suppliers we pull from.

The work here runs the full span of the county. Older downtown Lodi and Stockton homes need full remodels, re-roofs, and system updates. Fast-growing Tracy runs to additions and newer construction. Ripon and Lockeford bring small-town and rural property work, including parcels on well and septic. And the commercial buildings along the county’s corridors need roofing, repairs, and build-outs. One General B contractor covers all of it.

This is Central Valley and Delta country: Lodi-AVA wine ground, agricultural land, and waterfront edges. Valley heat and Delta moisture are designed into how we spec roofing and exteriors here, not treated as an afterthought, because we live in the same weather our work has to survive.

Most of the work that comes up in this county falls into a few buckets. In Lodi and Stockton it is older homes that need real remodeling: kitchens and baths pulled back to the studs, wiring and plumbing brought up to code, and re-roofs on houses that have not seen new material in decades. In Tracy and Ripon it is families that bought newer and now want more room, so it is additions, garage conversions, and ADUs going into the bigger suburban lots. In Lockeford and the outlying parcels it is rural property work where the house is on a well and septic and the addition has to be planned around the leach field. Adam has done all three, so the quote reflects what your kind of house actually needs instead of a one-size number.

One thing worth knowing before you hire anyone in San Joaquin County: the soil moves. The valley floor is expansive clay that swells when it gets wet in winter and pulls back in the dry summer, and that movement is what cracks slabs, sticks doors, and splits stucco when a foundation was not planned for it. When Adam pours a footing or a slab here, drainage and soil are handled first, before anything sits on top of it. Ask any contractor you are talking to how they are dealing with the clay. If they do not have an answer, keep looking.
